Today’s mail bought more regulation and fees with it…this time to do with producing and selling eggs in NSW. Luckily, we come under the limit so don’t need to apply for a license (though we and any other people selling less than 20 dozen eggs a week DO NEED to notify the Food Authority of their business details [...] Had the lovely pleasure of meeting Linda Dawson, the other day. She runs “Photography by Linda” and was able to get us in at the last minute to take some product shots for a magazine that will be featuring our Farm Balm moisturiser, goats milk soap, lip balms and other products soon. What on earth is synthetic beeswax and why on earth do we need it? That’s the question I asked when I checked out the ingredients on one of my daughter’s chemist-suggested eczema creams only to discover it said “synthetic beeswax”. It got me wondering…who makes it? (perhaps Cyborg bees?). What’s in it? (perhaps petrochemical honey & plastic [...] That is the question we’re now faced with after the ol’ microwave gave up the ghost today. Just a few years ago I would have just tossed it and rushed out to buy another…replace, upgrade, replace, upgrade…afterall, that’s just what we did. Not now though.
